CHANGE OF SOUTH GOA TELEPHONE CODE
From August 1, 1999,
the telephone code for accessing all places in Goa from outside the state will be 0832.
From outside India, the code to access all places in Goa will be ++91832. So, in effect,
the old code for South Goa (834) will be discontinued. However, for the transition period,
the old 834 code will work for a fortnight, uptil August 15. An advert to this effect was
